Ekklesia Greek: church "gathering together"

The Refuge meets in a theater instead of a church building. Instead of a sanctuary filled with pews, our 'sanctuary' consists of sets and backdrops, and seats that were filled with theater and concert goers just the night before. Many of our attendees are in entertainment related endeavors, or are just creative types. Aren't we all? But our purpose for meeting together in such a creative atmosphere is to connect with the One who is the author of all Creation, connect with our giftings, connect with our reason for being, connect with one another, and connect our world with hope.
